What is it? MK has built over 4,000 of their two-seaters, and every time we test an Indy, we fall in love. There are countless options, from a single-donor Mazda MX-5 car to build yourself to fully assembled, track-ready cars.
The bike-powered Suzuki GSX-1300R Hayabusa Indy RR is at the far end of the spectrum. As with many cars that you can build yourself, there are a ton of custom components (chassis, body, etc.) and a donor for some mechanical components. It was traditionally Ford Sierra, but parts tend to be similar to Ford and are now supplied new.
You can buy everything from £ 18,877 (plus engine) to build or from £ 23,617 (plus engine, so call it £ 25,000) for a fully built car. There are options around windshields, roll cages, and more, all visible in a 200+ line spreadsheet that's easy enough to dive into.
