Volvo Car thinks about opening third plant in Europe

Volvo Cars is thinking about building a third plant in Europe to support its creation limit past 1.2 million vehicles each year, an organization representative said on Sunday.

German cars distribution Automobilwoche revealed before on Sunday that the organization was anticipating building another European plant by the center of the decade to meet its creation focus of 1.2 million vehicles every year, citing Volvo Cars CFO Bjorn Annwall.

An organization representative said by email to Reuters that the organization was at that point ready to deliver 1.2 million vehicles every year at its six existing processing plants and needed to build its ability past this sum, yet no plans had been finished at this point.

"What we can say at this stage is that no choice has been made. In any case, Volvo Cars has become quickly over the previous decade and plan to keep on developing at a comparative speed going ahead," the representative said to Reuters.

The Gothenburg-based organization, which turned into Sweden's second biggest posting yet after its IPO in late October with a valuation of $18 billion, presently creates around 800,000 vehicles per year at its two plants - one in Sweden and the other in Belgium.

"We want both our plants in Europe... in any case, we want more. That is the reason we need to assemble a third plant," Annwall said to Automobilwoche. Where that plant will be found isn't at this point clear, he said
